General Assistants
Part-Time: 16-24 hours | Full-Time: 30-35 hours
Wage dependant on age and experience
We’re looking for friendly and customer-focused General Assistants to join our team at the Nevis Centre. You will be required to assist the Centre Manager and Duty Managers in overseeing the general running of the Centre, acting as a keyholder and providing assistance in all departments within the facility.
The main duties of the role include customer liaison, bookings and admin, building checks, event hosting and preparation, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all visitors, department cover, reception and general duties. We’re looking for individuals who are friendly and approachable, with strong customer service skills, clear communication, and the ability to listen and respond effectively. Ideal candidates will be well-organised, efficient, and confident in using their own initiative to develop new ideas. Experience in a customer-facing environment is essential, and previous experience in the leisure or hospitality industry is highly desirable.

Children’s Activities Co-ordinators
Part-Time: 16-24 hours | Full-Time: 30-35 hours

We’re looking for friendly and dynamic Children’s Activities Co-ordinators to join our team at the Nevis Centre. You will be required to assist the Centre Manager in overseeing the general running of the Children’s Activities Department and Soft Play as well as assisting with and organising all clubs, classes, parties, camps and events attached to the department.
The main duties of the role include supervising and serving in the Soft Play area, assisting with and organising children’s clubs, activity camps, special events, and school or nursery visits, as well as supporting event preparation, and managing birthday party planning and organisation. The role also involves working alongside senior staff to plan activity calendars and camp schedules, while ensuring the environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times. We are looking for individuals who are friendly, approachable, and possess strong customer service and communication skills. Ideal candidates will be well-organised, efficient, and confident in using their own initiative to develop new ideas. Experience in a customer-focused environment is essential. Please note that all staff working within the Children’s Department will be required to obtain a PVG through the Nevis Centre.

Cleaner/Housekeeper
Part-Time: 16-24 hours
Wage dependant on age and experience
We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Part-Time Cleaner/Housekeeper to join our team at the Nevis Centre. You will be required to assist the team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the building, ensuring that all areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors and staff.
The main duties of the role include cleaning and sanitising public areas, toilets, bars, and event spaces; restocking supplies, and managing laundry duties where necessary. You will also assist in preparing rooms for events and ensuring that cleanliness standards are upheld during and after bookings. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, self-motivated, and take pride in their work. Ideal candidates will be well-organised, efficient, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
