Clubs and Classes

What are they? - The Centre runs its own evening sessions for Children during term-time, with a mix of activities taking place in the building.  These are all supervised by staff and parents are not required to stay for these.  These sessions are aimed at children from Primary 1 to Primary 7.  Each contains a wide variety of activities, and there’s lots of opportunities for children to both catch up with existing friends, and meet new ones. As well as the activities, there’s also a tuck shop available, and each week different children will get selected to serve at this.

When are they on? - The clubs run on weekday evenings between 6.00 and 7.30pm.  These usually take place during term-time but these can be affected by additional school closures so check the booking calendar for any changes to this.

How much do they cost? - Girls Club, Glee Club, Youth Club and Art Club cost just £4.00 per person, while Guitar Club is £20.00 for a 5 week block.  Children are also welcome to bring money for the tuck shop, which we are happy to look after for them.

How do you book? - Booking can be done by clicking on the green link button on this page. This will take you to a calendar where you can select your options based on your requirements.

What should the children wear? - The sessions are generally quite active, so children should wear comfortable clothes for running around in.  All classes meet at the Soft play, so there’s always time for a good bit of energy exertion in the frame at the start.

What if you have any questions? - The staff are happy to answer any questions you may have or provide any feedback regarding any aspect of the classes. They are more than happy to speak to you in person at the Centre or can reply via e-mails to info@neviscentre.co.uk.

Anything else? - Our classes are aimed at being accessible, sociable and inclusive. We hope that the range of activities on offer will allow us to keep everyone involved and we focus greatly on building confidence, friendships and enjoyment. We aim to adapt our sessions to suit the age and ability of the children taking part and put an emphasis on making things fun for everyone.

What is Girl’s Club? - This is a Youth Club just for girls and includes a range of activities such as creative arts, fun fitness, arts and crafts, hair and make-up, fashion, media and technology, fun games, skincare, music and dance, and more.

What is Glee Club? - This is a fun music and singing class where children learn how to sing, perform and create. This is suitable for boys and girls and there’s no need for any previous experience. It’s all about learning and enjoying, and getting the chance to express yourself.

What is Youth Club? - This is a space for children to come along, meet friends and take part in different activities, including soft play, sports, arts and crafts, games and challenges, laser tag, media and technology and more.

What is Guitar Club? - This is a beginner-friendly class for children that offers a dynamic and fun approach to learning the guitar. Children are welcome to bring their own guitar, but we also have some available to use at the Centre. To kick things off we will be offering a 4-week block starting on the 25th of April.

What is Art Club? - This is a multi-media creativity class that includes working with a wide range of materials and equipment. You’ll get to experience drawing, painting, crafting and animation, while working on projects including manga, murals, design and more.
